As the Badge holder turns. UPS really owes you big time and the manufacture of the holders.

Emile, thanks for all the effort you are putting into this.
The customer service center doesn't look very customer friendly.

Emile, thanks for going the extra mile and then some. I swear we can't make this kind of stuff up!!! I believe what you're experiencing is an unfortunate trend with UPS. There seems to be a different culture at UPS compared to several years ago. It's more arrogance than anything. Can't really pinpoint, because my local UPS drivers seem to be nice folks. But the overall UPS "culture" seems to be heading in the wrong direction. And I'll use two examples: Saturday delivery: Is it real? Or isn't it? Sometimes I get packages delivered on Saturday, while other times my package sits at the local depot over the weekend while delivery is held off until Monday or Tuesday. Perhaps it's based on the service class that the shipper pays for -- not sure. But I find FedEx Ground seems more "regular" with respect to Saturday deliveries. Secondly, the new UPS website is absolutely HORRIBLE. For one, the new website apparently uses new software calls in the operating system. So the site no longer operates on my Mac desktop that's still running OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). I realize that's a dated OS release level, but at least TELL the customer when changes like that are being made. But they just quietly release a new website, and poof!!! Suddenly you can't track packages with that computer anymore.... unless of course you update the OS (which often introduces other issues from a business applications perspective). Thankfully, I have another newer desktop Mac Pro that runs OS X 10.11.6 (El Capitan). But even at that, the UPS website itself now works differently than it did a couple of years ago. It's like an entirely new programming crew wrote the new user presentation interface, and I absolutely HATE their approach. I don't know who's teaching kids to program these days, but UPS seems to have a bumper crop of programmers who can't program worth a darn. Very user-unfriendly!!! OK... I'll step down from the soapbox now. But I just wanted to let you know you're not alone in what you're seeing. It's really a case of the left and right hand not knowing what they're doing. And it's so sad to see it in a company that really had their act together in every sense of the word just a few years ago. What HAPPENED?

David, that’s the speed of technology today. As operating systems change so must the apps and web browsers. It’s like a conversation I had a few York’s ago with Dave Hiekel about the DCS and Legacy apps programming having to be upgraded along with the computer operating systems.
I had to replace my 2009 iMac because some websites were not working and the iMac reached its internal ability to be upgraded any further. We need to update our systems when made available to keep them working.

Stopped at UPS. Picked up a box. Didn’t open it because it was in a bad Baltimore neighborhood. Threw it in the trunk and now we’re headed for York!
I’ll open it at the hotel and report back tonight.

.... We need to update our systems when made available to keep them working. I get the whole technology treadmill thing, Brian. I lived and breathed it in my prior corporate life. What I don't tolerate nowadays is -- even when we have the right hardware platforms to support the new software -- the basic software design isn't worth a hill of beans. And that's the case with UPS's new website. It's as if a bunch of bozos designed it, and didn't even talk to the customers who need to use it. Just a pet-peeve of mine. By the way... I feel the same way about hardware design. Apple's Mac Pro desktop 10 years ago was the creme-de-le-creme in terms of design. You could upgrade the thing to the hilt... memory, graphics cards, storage, etc... The new Mac Pro? While more "powerful", it doesn't have NEARLY a fraction of the ability that the original Mac Pro's tower had in terms of upgradability. Once again... it's like an entirely new team of kids built the thing.... and never consulted the target users. But I digress. Emile, glad you got the badge holders FINALLY!!!! Your perseverance is unmatched. I'll see you Friday at 12Noon for the group photo (if not sooner).

I was just being Captain Obvious in my own frustration with it. I myself have had issues with the UPS site trying to locate packages.
