Pontiac made a pretty red Bolero in 1955. It really stands out.




In 1958 they made a long sleek Bonneville convertible.



But my favorite Pontiac is from 1957. Of course it is a lovely shade of pink, the kind of car you just want to take a spin in.

Some 1957 Boinneville History:

Relive the excitement and optimism of the space age with the rocket-influenced design of this rare Pontiac. The company built just 630 of these Bonneville convertibles in 1957, the first year that famous nameplate was used, allowing for the allocation of just one car to each Pontiac dealer in the United States, and each one fully equipped with a bevy of standard equipment, such as power steering, power brakes, Wonderbar radio with electric antenna, leather seating surfaces, power seat, and a unique-to-Bonneville 347-cubic-inch fuel-injected engine rated at 315 horsepower. The seller, who has owned this example since 2015, reports that he had two experts on the Bonneville model examine the car, both of whom assured him that it is indeed authentic.



The Bonneville debuted in 1957 as the pinnacle of Pontiac, and it was a performance-oriented car. To that end, each Bonneville’S 347-cubic inch V-8 was fitted with unique-to-Pontiac version of the Rochester mechanical fuel-injection induction that was also available as an option on certain Chevrolet models. Available only on the Bonneville, the fuel-injection setup boosted horsepower solidly to the far side of 300. The seller says that his car functions without problems in the engine department once the injected V-8 gets a chance to properly warm up. He also reports that the four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission shifts as it should.
