Well Done Adam!! That is a nice loco! I just looked it up. What road name did you get? Gary. This is the one. This is my third MTH Proto 3 and the first that is not a passenger engine. It like that the sound files are geared toward freight, coal in this case. Attachments:

I did learn my lesson this past week. A rare item came up on eBay last week that is perfect for the Christmas in the City portion of our layout. I happened to be on eBay near the time it was listed. This item would have not lasted 15 minutes. I jumped on it immediately. Smart decision.

I've done the same thing and even better, or maybe worse.
At a really big train show like Amherst or York I've seen something that I needed to think about and when I decided to go back to buy I couldn't remember where I'd seen it.
Worse yet, I've seen something and decided to think it over, then I got absorbed in the rest of the show and forgot about it only to remember it when I'm halfway home.

Most recently ..... I should have purchased all the Woodland Scenics buildings from Sidewinder but held back and only picked up 2 of them. Decided I wanted a couple more and yikes - all gone!

I wanted to get this bridge for the longest time and it was going for 20$. I figured it was cheap enough so I kept putting it off. Now they are going for 50$ + shipping............... Ill wait for them to come back down.

There will be a happy ending to my latest you snooze you loose story. It probably will be a long time before I find this item again, so that does not sit well with me. I grabbed the same item in a different color at a terrific price (not the limited edition version) and it is now being pointed to match what I want. Again, Brian???!!!!! Say it ain't so!!!!

About 3 years ago, I started looking for a set of K-Line aluminum 18-inch 20th Century Ltd. cars to go with my MTH Dreyfus Hudson. I had no idea how difficult-to-find they were until I started looking. I bid on (and lost) 2 sets on ebay as the price went through the roof. Then, one day about 2 years ago, someone on another forum had a complete 6-car set for sale at a very reasonable price. He posted them just minutes before I logged on, so I was the first one to see them; I hurried to reply and get into my paypal account, and the cars were mine. It was pure luck that I happened to log on just at the right time, and after the deal was done, the seller told me he had multiple offers for the cars within a very short time. Here's one of the cars.
