"Brian, both your current and previous layouts are/were stunning. You pay such close attention to detail and it shows."
Thanks so much, Adam. We try.

Good looking scene, Emile. Thanks Brian. I think the image would be so much better with a backdrop. The city silhouette backdrop on your current city layout is a detail that makes a huge difference. It makes your images a lot more 3 dimensional. It is very well done. Emile

This is a good poll, Emile! I only setup a temporary Christmas layout so I only have Department 56 buildings, Lemax and other Christmas related buildings. However, Department 56 is the best with well painted buildings and figurines. I took interest in Department 56 when they produced the Lionel Train Store back in the late 1990's. This was my first Department 56 peice.

Based on our unscientific poll, over 60% of our Members incorporate or plan to incorporate Department 56 products in our layouts. That's a level on par with most of the major O-Gauge accessory/scenery vendors. I can see more D56 related threads in the future. What do you think?

Emile, that is a great looking Chinatown and a fabulous scene.
I realized that, while I don't have any D56 buildings I do have a D56 windmill and some trees.

I want to be down their in the city shopping at Christmas time! Of course I will take the train to get there.
