Updated 5/11/2021: Needs a (India ink) wash and some DullCote, but we're pretty much declaring victory on this house.
More when I know it.

Updated 05/25/2021: For the past two weeks things have been on hold as I have dealt with the end of the academic semester, constructed the "cat prevention door", and tried to acquire more HO Albion Catalog houses. I called more than a dozen hobby shops before finally speaking with the manufacturer and ordering 3 more of the houses. Unfortunately, it’s going to be at least a 2 month delay before they are produced; they are absolutely swamped. But that’s a good thing for the industry. All this has caused me to re-evaluate and re-prioritize what projects should get my attention. Here they are (in rough order of importance): - Clean up the workshop so that more modeling can take place
- Weirton Steel caboose for an upcoming NMRA contest (needs decals, assembly and weathering)
- Finalize the Weirton East End interlocking circuit
- Complete line poles and “H” fixtures for the Eastern Approach to the bridge
- Install conduit across the face of the stone arch
- Install scenery from Pier 2 to the stone arch including the pond and Eastern Approach hillside
The above is the tip of the iceberg; the entire "to-do" list is pretty large. More when I know it.

Updated 6/4/2021: A new pair of locomotives join the roster on the Panhandle. Lionel PRR E-7 A-As 5900 & 5901 will be tasked with pulling the pride of the Panhandle, The Spirit of St. Louis. These beauties are Legacy equipped with dual fan smoke units. I picked them up today at Hobby Express.

Sure nice locomotives, George. Thank you. They are the first locomotives I've bought new out of a catalog, ever. I am very excited about them and can't wait to see them run on the layout. They did quite nicely on the store's test loop (O36 minimum required). Double smoke units for each A unit, sound, and the finish seems pretty close. I am going to program them today and try to get a few more photos.

Thank you! I am ecstatic over this train! I've been walking around with this huge, stupid grin on my fact all day. Just fired up the smoke (4 stacks in each unit)! So cool. This is definitely the signature train on the layout.

and I have to compliment you on how you've blended the scenery into the backdrop as shown where the right of way blends into the photo hillside. Excellant job.

I am honored and pleased to report that part 1 of my 5 part series "Pour Me A River" has been published in July/August issue of O Scale Trains magazine. The article describes the creation of the Ohio River, the scenery on the adjoining banks, and the placement of the bridge.
I hope you will pick up a copy.
