waitin4thetrain had an interesting photo of the NYC Explorer train, which was close to design and material to the Aero Train. Its one many NYC Model Railroaders have forgotten. Thanks for posting the pic. Here's some more pics on this great looking train. As a side note, it was sold to an excursion train company, then scrapped in 1960s.

A real shame it was scrapped. The Aero Train is cool but I would like a model of the NYC Xplorer Train and Passenger cars!! Gary.
