Good afternoon. What items or deals will you be looking for at York next month? Myself I will be looking for MTH Premier Passenger Cars,(various lines), and MTH Premier Freight 6pks.
Gary.

Really not looking for much, maybe scenery stuff, dirt, shrubs, grasses, etc. Looking in the members halls for these and if a 4-6-0 I see might be coming home with me, for a new paint job. Maybe a 1:48 Chevy ss, or some other kind of hot rod car. That’s about it.

As a Lionel PostWar guy, I am always looking for the ultimate bargain........like a 1950 773 Hudson set, boxed, with all its components for about $400.00.....freight or passenger, no matter. Realistically, I need a new command controlled New Haven EP-5. My K Line one took a fall and the truck side frame cracked......If I saw a non-Command one, I might buy that to fix it.....Alternatively, I would look at an MTH PS2 or PS3 version...MTH hasn't cataloged a premier EP-5 since 2013.....maybe they are due for a re-visit......the catalog will be here soon. Milk cars I don't have yet. Some military cars from MTH I had to pass on at the time they came out, other rolling stock which would be nice to have, Parts from MTH parts dept, Dropping off stuff for weathering, Maybe a engine if the price is right, scenery stuff, tools, chuffer boards from Gunrunner, meet up with some old friends I haven't seen in awhile, meet OGF members for the first time.
Last looking for Weaver cars in B&A.

This year I'm on a mission. I want a Legacy 0-8-0 swithcher or whatever can go on 0-36 curves. If it's to expensive I may settle for a LC+ steamer.

You don't want the last run of 0-8-0 which were advertised as Legacy but came with AF/ERR cruise boards that go to warp speed with a few clicks of the big red knob. Better to find a 0-8-0 from the mid 2000's with TMCC and Railsounds 5.0

I'm sure I'll find something. I would prefer the Legacy Tuscan K4. A couple of club members had one. It will work on 0-36 curves and one of then wants to sell his. I was going to wait and see what I found at York.

Need a tank car, box, and gondola, for the wreck train. Don’t have to look but so good.
And smoke fluid.

I don't make a list for York anymore. I never stuck to it. The trains, they always find me. I just listen to the Voices. They counsel me, they understand, they talk to me! They tell me the trains that I should buy, they show me trains that I'll show to you. It's much easier shopping that way because the Voices understand me.

I have pretty much I need. I'll go and probably pick up a few things but I have a heavy fall schedule of the Lionel Warehouse sale (which we now look more forward to than York in some aspects), and Treksgiving. Both of which are keeping me from buying. Plus I have a good amount of Polar Express cars coming in soon I hope.
I always have a list of must haves but at least they are mostly just some rolling stock.

I can pretty much fit in anywhere for the most part. Follow the rules, act like a guest in someone else's home, and enjoy the ride.
Funny thing is, I guess without a incidental comment on a post I made elsewhere I would have never known about this forum. I probably need another forum to visit like I need another hole in the head but I do enjoy talking trains so it's all good.

We'll talk at York.
