Print is still an option here (Baltimore region), albeit an expensive one.
Thanks everyone for their suggestions! I'll be off to the dollar store and Shipping Station later today to see what's available.

Paul, I have gotten away from wrapping in newspaper. I now use brown packing / butcher paper (about the thickness of a paper grocery bag ), and also white paper that I have collected from packages - the paper used to keep items from shifting. In some cases, the white paper I have collected has a 'waxy' / plastisized side - I especially like it. I collect carboard, corregated stock, and the 'waffle'-type material that is often used in packing appliances. I use banker's and photocopy boxes. I have become pretty conscientious about storage / labeling - even on an as used daily basis. I like packing and storage only second to the hobby itself. Alfred (I am almost to the point where I am considering wearing gloves when I handle equipment; even though my stuff is older and not very valuable. )

Thanks for that. I stopped by Staples yesterday and picked up a roll of the brown packing paper, but it's a bit thicker/stiffer than I'd anticipated. Might have to crumple it up a bit to get it a bit softer. I also picked up a pack of shop-towels at AutoZone...a bit pricier than what one might find at one of the "dollar" stores, but none of those around here seem to stock them.
I totally get the labelling thing. I'm going to make custom set-boxes, and everything's getting labelled this time.

Nope, unloaded most of the Marx stuff a year or so ago. Definitely never in the attic I never store anything in the attic of the house...too hot/cold, and it's a PITA to get up there. I do store stuff in the attic of the garage, but nothing of any great importance, mostly tires, car/mower parts, some old tools, lumber scraps...all stuff that can handle the summer heat and winter cold. There's stuff up there left behind by the previous owner some forty years ago...never really went through it. It'll be the next guy's problem.
