Tiss a sad time for me. I love summer. Green grass and trees, beautiful flowers. You can leave the house without a jacket. These cooler nights tell the plants, be ready to die, winters coming. sigh

Fall is my favorite time of year, when (as you say) the changing of the seasons is most evident. Sure, spring brings renewal, but relatively speaking, it's a spare season, only a hint at what's to come, while fall is a gentler encomium (google it!) for the lush growth of the preceding seasons, and a warning to prepare for the lean months ahead. Plus, it's seldom anywhere near as hot as this last summer has been!

I guess I am lone man out. I love Summer and truly dislike winter! You and my wife would get along. In fact my wife won't go in the pool if pool temp is below 75. Looking at the long range forecast, I think I'll be closing the pool this weekend. More 70's than 80's forecast for New England and the pool will never warm up. Time to get back to trains.

Our false fall is all but over with, ……temps slowly creeping up, this week will be hot, but after Labor Day it’s supposed to cool off again, ……..maybe it’ll be here to stay!….I hate summer,…….bring on apple pie crisp mornings, and great sleeping weather,……..I really live in the wrong neighborhood,…..

Pat The Water Level Route I'll say...forecast tomorrow (Aug. 28) for Balto has us at 100 (hopefully this summer's last hurrah). I'm with ya on enjoying fall weather (except for that leaf-raking bit).

We’re cooking good in eastern NC, …..100+ was the “feels like”,……relief tomorrow!….maybe here to stay!!……it’s been a miserable summer!!
