WOW these are very nice... looks to be new unique tooling? And some better trucks and couplers which are well needed. These will sell out quickly. Thanks for the heads up!

it is a strange looker for sure, maybe the Cripple Creek & Western RR built them in shop using some retired flatcars for the base.
So this is the second freight car for the Cripple Creek & Western railroad, can a CC&W RR F unit and caboose be in the works ?

Interesting though I thought this Cripple Creek was the Railroad in Colorado. Did not realize this railroad was in Virginia and shared ownership with the Norfolk and Western Railroad.

What these cattle cars look like is something built by a short line railroad during the late 1800s to provide services to their customers who were shipping cattle to market or unload at a stock pen for a major railroad to pickup and send to the big packing houses in Omaha and Chicago. I like em. I have seen pictures of roof slopes like this in some shop built cars.

I could not find any photos of this railroad. Only this one. Mainly a Ore producing extension of the Norfolk and Western Railroad Company.

I always thought that Cripple Creek was Menards made-up railroad. They have a few products under that name.

Maybe so, but at first I thought they had ties to the famous Cripple Creek and Victor Railroad in Colorado. That was a small narrow gauge RR that still runs today.

I’m not a fan of cattle cars but I love the look of these. I may have to get 1 or 2.
