But you cared enough to be dismissive about the new locomotives that Lionel is offering. I am curious about what message or point you guys were trying to make here? I think 99% of today's hobbyists really don't care about the "Lionel vs MTH or Atlas" angst anymore. All manufactures run together on our railroads. Does anybody pass up on a locomotive or freight car for the sole reason that "I will not buy that train because it is manufactured by company X and I only buy trains from company Y"? For example, when EZ-Catch Train shop offered a custom run C MTH Premier Central Maine & Quebec AC-4400 Cab # 1002 I put my order in because I really wanted a locomotive in that road name. Whether it was made by Lionel, MTH or Atlas, who ever offered it first was going to get my order. What difference does it make who offered it? e-zcatch.square.site/product/eta-january-2024-custom-mth-premier-central-maine-quebec-ac-4400-cab-1002/304 Sorry, didn't mean to sound "dismissive". I just have no interest in 99.9% of anything being made today. My interest is primarily in tinplate of the 1920-1942 era and a bit of postwar, so other than a few pieces made by MTH/Lionel Corp. and the Lionel Classics lines, none of which is produced today, I have only passing interest. I view the stuff of interest as toys, not models, so that's probably the big disconnect for me.

Yet another unplanned purchase. The standard offerings didn’t phase me all that much. But the Space Force custom-run is the hands-down most eye-catching of the bunch. BNSF colors with silver trucks are a close second… but I already own enough BNSF diesels.
Not a fan of deposits. But Brian is a stand-up guy, and $72 is reasonable in the big scheme of life for a Feb/March 2025 delivery.

When I talked to Brian on the phone when I ordered my Space Force SD70ace, he said that the Space Force series has been a big hit for Legacy Station. I also ordered the Space Force tank cars and the Space Force caboose.
