Are any of you fans, runners or collectors of the New Hope Railroad, (formerly the New Hope & Ivyland RR), a shortline and tourist railroad in Bucks Co., southeastern Penna. Please share your interest and any O-gauge items you've acquired.

I live about 15-20 minutes from New Hope, and my wife and I have ridden a few of the New Hope & Ivyland RR excursion trains through beautiful Bucks County, PA.
I have the passenger set Lionel offered a couple of years ago... still boxed. And there's an additional coach that is exclusively offered by the NH&I RR's gift store. I seem to recall obtaining a matching boxcar at a METCA event in New Hope, and I also just received an invoice for the New Hope #40 Lionel Legacy steam locomotive from METCA, which is due to ship in mid-May if I recall correctly.
Since I've ridden in the real #40's cab, I was waiting to break out the passenger coaches to give them their inaugural ride on my layout, when the model of #40 arrives next month.

I've never ridden the NH RR but hope to one day. Wow, riding in the cab must be a terrific experience rockymountaineer.

Here's a YouTube video Mr. Muffin's Trains posted back in 2021 of Lionel's New Hope & Ivyland passenger set SKU #2122160...
Most dealers have long ago sold-out of this set, but you might get lucky calling around... and hey... there's always York next week!!! The New Hope & Ivyland RR gift shop has them, but expect to pay WAY OVER what was Lionel's $1,099 MSRP back in 2021. I guess the rationale behind paying $1,299 to the gift shop is your donating a few hundred dollars extra to the New Hope & Ivyland RR directly.
Also if you want the 5th coach in the passenger train, the gift shop is your only game in town at close to $200. Pretty much same scenario in play for the matching boxcar too... although you might check around the secondary market for that one. Otherwise you'll be ponying up $120-ish at the gift shop for a nice rich, burgundy-colored boxcar. Beautiful paint-scheme by the way. METCA members got theirs as part of a free promo for riding an excursion train they sponsored a few years ago... before COVID as I recall. So membership certainly has its privileges at times!!!
Meanwhile, Public Delivery Track out west has the 4-car coach set available for anyone just looking for the cars to pull behind the METCA custom-run Lionel Legacy #40 steam loco (see below and click to enlarge) that's due out shortly. Not a bad strategy at all.

I ride that line at least once a year and during the winter months I do the cab ride in #40. Always a hell of an experience. There staff has always been great. Planning on going there again soon since I'm not far away.

I noticed the 4-car New Hope & Ivyland passenger cars are no longer on the website. Perhaps someone saw my earlier post and jumped on them. Don’t be shy… chime in if it was you!!! I’m sure you’ll enjoy them!!!

Thanks for that Public Delivery Track lead, rockymountaineer, but it wasn't me who bought that set of passenger cars. I already have that set along with the extra passenger car from NH gift shop and their exclusive NHI commerative boxcar and Christmas boxcar plus a replica of the original builders plate for #40. Also fortunate to have a blue Atlas NHI boxcar, Lionel's green NH&I McHugh and Bros. boxcar and a Kris Model Trains (KMT) dark olive that looks black with yellow doors and lettering NH&I boxcar. Likewise received my METCA invoice for #40. Still searching however for a so far elusive MTH NH&I McHugh Bros. boxcar. It's unfortunate Henning's had to send back their custom run of RMT NH&I ore cars last month due to faulty wheelsets but that's indicative of nonexistant Chinese QC.
Hopefully someone will soon make a NH&I caboose!!!

If the person who bought that passe nger set reads this, please join us on this thread!!! Also, You Tuber, Chris Bachman's "Other Side of the Tracks" channel has done reviews of numerous Strasburg and New Hope RR items and Menards buildings. Does anyone know of Chris and if he's a member of this or other train forums? He's relocated from SE PA. to Texas and is a fan of both Strasburg and New Hope RRs.

I managed to make one visit to the railroad several years ago and I took a number of shots of #40 in action. I don't know much about the model offerings but if it hasn't been done, a diesel in the New Hope railroad colors should make for an interesting model on your railroad.

... It's unfortunate Henning's had to send back their exclusive run of RMT NH&I ore cars last month due to faulty wheelsets but that's indicative of nonexistant Chinese QC. ... I too had those on order, but who knows what's gonna happen. Those RMT ore cars were quite the embarrassing disaster. I bought 4 Beth Steel ore cars from Hennings, and NONE of those cars even roll down a long, perfectly aligned straight track without derailing!!! Never saw a worse train purchase in my life!!! Too bad, because the car graphics were BEAUTIFUL, but the trucks and couplers weren't worth crap.
So I returned those for a full credit... and then transferred the funds for that set of NH&I ore cars (i.e., a fully paid pre-order) to another purchase at Hennings. One of the few times I paid upfront for a pre-order... largely because I knew Hennings would make good on it. And they did. METCA also made good on Lionel milkcars I had prepaid for that had issues with couplers and paint chipping, and transferred the funds to another METCA purchase that was in-stock. These dealers and clubs are caught in the middle, when this kind of nonsense happens.

Lionel's New Hope & Ivyland excursion set from a few years ago included a GP30 diesel #2198 with the 4 passenger coaches. And I believe the railroad's gift shop also has the same diesel available for separate-sale too.

New Hope diesel The NH gift shop is selling the diesel by itself for $699 reduced from $799 (20 diesels available) They're also selling the original 4 passenger car set with diesel for $1,299 on sale from $1,499 (12 sets available) which makes it $150 for each passenger car in the set.

Yes, rockymountaineer, Hennings is a great, dealer. When I spoke to them last week they said RMT has assured them those defective ore cars have been sent back to China and told Hennings to expect a corrected shipment of them with replaced wheelsets sometime in May. Since no one else makes NH&I ore cars and since the RMT cars are so much cheaper than ore cars from other manufacturers, I wonder if even those replacement cars due in May still have problem wheels etc, would it be fiscally responsible for buyers to switch them with other bought wheels?

Rockymountaineer, Hennings has another custom run of NH&I from RMT. It's a woodside milk reefer, "Bucks County Farms". Preorders are being taken. $34.95. Only time will tell how this custom run will turn out!!! Attachments:
