Much to my surprise and despite the Nor'easter, the car arrived today. Some other things that surprised me: 1. It seems larger, more to scale than other Menards products. Certainly, larger than the previous hoppers I have ordered from them. 2. Both trucks have pickups. I like what I see so far. Can't wait to put it on the tracks later.   |

Just watching on on FB Menards groups that a couple guys who had a string of them (8) were running them and they look great.
They also seem to be built better then the previous hoppers. When mine arrive ill let you know what I think of them.

I love the innovation. This is the kind of thing that MTH was leading on before the reshift. Think about how neat this effect would look on a reimagined Coors Bullet Train!
Also, you better believe a lot of the units sold were for resellers on eBay. We will be seeing these sold for quite the price on eBay and train sales for years to come. I wish there was a way to restrict the resellers.

Look at it this way, Menards does not have a dealer network for their trains but they have these guys who are proxy dealers. I would blame the morons that keep buying these Menards cars from them instead from Menards themselves.
I don't like the prices some of the dealers charge but hey if people are to stupid to shop around then its their fault.

Besides the above I got my 2 cars today and I give Menards a A+ for this one. they look great, they have good weight, and no issues that I can find. Prior cars of this type had issues of rocking , attachment of the trucks, etc.
I'm very happy with these cars, I just wished I bought a 4 pack.

Very different, A Christmas item for sure and probably great for a layout around the tree or near your front window during the season.
