Trying to make some shelf-space, here's a rebuilt/reconstructed/refurbished Lionel 804 for the distinguishing collector, lol. Reconstituted from a box of bits along with a healthy supply of repro parts (brass handrails, brass stanchions, brass journals, brass ladders, nickel couplers, "Shell" decals, Train Enamel "UP Yellow" paint). Thoroughly cleaned/polished, original frame, tank, tank-ends, plates, domes, wheels and axles, a good runner for the operator in a brass-trim scheme Lionel never made. Asking $29 plus $8 shipping. Check it out:

That was a nice project. That is the first tanker reconstruction I have read about on the forum. Alfred

Thanks, Alfred. I have great affection for the prewar O-gauge Lionel tank cars, both the four-wheel 804 and the eight-wheel 654/2654. Comprised of some 30 individual parts, they are a fun disassemble/reassemble project. I just have too many of them and would love to find homes for a few of them.
