We have all experienced someone who based upon any number of criteria should be kept away from the public for the sake of the business.
You would hope that as one tasked with the technology side of things Dave would be adept with technology, however he seems to stumble and bumble with what seems to be the most rudimentary presentation tasks involving technology. Maybe it is his schtick, or discomfort with presentations however regardless the reason it comes off as being amateurish and to some degree smug.
For once I would prefer to mute the sound and read the subtitles.

Demo’s with Dave is a very informal update after hours thing. What do you guys expect? A Hollywood production?

As a Lionel employee live streaming from Lionel facilities Dave represents Lionel plain and simple.
Being as you put it 'the man' of Lionel does not necessarily translate into an adeptness in the use of technology (or tripods) on the fly in a live stream.
Unless the premise is an after hours drop in with Dave BYOB type perspective warts and all Lionel might want to consider paying someone some overtime rates to give Dave a hand so he doesn't have to juggle everything.
Oh, but I forgot this is not a real business situation, it is just model trains.
Never mind.

I just sampled a few of your You Tube videos to get a better perspective on your comments. First off you provide useful informative material in a conversational style approach intended to convey meaning rather than techno babble. Not Hollywood production values, but more than sufficient technical proficiency so as not to detract from your material. Maybe it comes down to preparation, execution or both. The results of your videos speak for themselves in a most positive way.

The first 3 locomotives were nice, and the A5 and Berk are a definite for me — especially since both are overdue with tooling issues. The M1 is a maybe. But given other interests at the moment, I’ll probably pass on that. The Hiawatha styling just doesn’t call my name. And the sound package seemed rather bland. I was unimpressed. Aw c'mon the Hiawatha is a classic dare I say iconic example of industrial design. I know you have good taste as I met your wife in Allentown. Maybe it's the road name/color options you don't like. Plasma coating sweeten the pot for you?!
