Country Joe,
I love the simplicity and "clean" approach to your layout. It is giving me some ideas for my own. Thank you for taking the time to share all of the great pictures.

Nice photos of your layout, Joe! How high is tunnel portals? I am curious because I can't run some of my cars on my Christmas Layout because the clearance is too low in the tunnel portals. In order to have enough clearance I would need at least 10 inches which to me is little to high for tunnel portal. Thanks Ken. The portals are 6" tall, approximately 5.375" from the top of the rail to the top of the portal opening. The tallest car I own is a Railking intermodal double stack and it clears. You must have some very tall cars that need 10" vertical clearance. Since it's a Christmas layout I wouldn't worry about the too tall portals. Christmas layouts are fantasy fun so I think anything goes as long as you like it.

Country Joe, I love the simplicity and "clean" approach to your layout. It is giving me some ideas for my own. Thank you for taking the time to share all of the great pictures. Thanks Adam. I like the clean approach. My layout is my idealized world where everything is as I like it, and I like clean. I'm glad my photos are helpful to you. Helping each other is what OGF is all about, well, that and having some fun with trains.

What's particularly good fun is to watch how a members skills grow as they work on their layout. Our own Country Joe is a classic example of this. What a treat for me to get to know Joe better.
