Rockymountaineer, Hennings has another custom run of NH&I from RMT. It's a woodside milk reefer, "Bucks County Farms". Preorders are being taken with price said to be low compared to other manufacturers comparable cars. Only time will tell how this custom run will turn out!!! Can you post a link? I can’t find it. Thanks 😊

Sorry I don't know how to post a link using my Samsung phone.
A March 1, 2024 update from RMT lists a price of $34.95 for these woodside reefers with arrival to dealers starting May 2024.

Here ya go...
As nice as it looks, I'm gonna wait until I see it in person with my own eyes and can test it at the store before walking out with one or two. Difficult to think we'd ever have to worry about saying that for something as simple as a piece of rolling stock. But that's where we are today with overseas manufacturing of toy trains.

A real beauty. However your cautionary note is a sad commentary on the state of production/QC in the model train space we inhabit today.

After watching Sean's Train Depot's review of the box car and ore car from RMT, I went on a preorder frenzy with some of the custom run woodside reefers from Pats, Hennings, and Holly Beach Depot. I tend to favor produce and products other than beer but some of the graphics for those beer cars was too good looking to pass up.

After watching Sean's Train Depot's review of the box car and ore car from RMT, I went on a preorder frenzy with some of the custom runs from Pats, Hennings, and Holly Beach Depot. I tend to favor produce and products other than beer but some of the graphics for those beer cars was too good looking to pass up. Graphics were never the failing of the RMT cars several months ago. It was a poor choice of trucks and wheelsets. They were absolutely horrible, and the cars couldn't stay on the tracks -- even straight stretches with no turnouts -- without derailing. So that's why the entire production run was recalled.
Bottom line... RMT seems to have replaced the trucks with a MUCH better design. I happened to stop by Henning's Trains a few days ago, and the staff at the store was neck-deep in New Hope & Ivyland RR ore cars as they were fulfilling pre-orders for shipment. The place was wild. I picked up 12 to make a nice unit train of ore cars. But before I walked out the door, I tested one on the store layout to ensure these things actually worked this time. And sure enough, I can give them a thumbs up. The graphics are superb, and they're all individually numbered. The 12 cars I ordered came in two cases of 6-packs... all randomly numbered... they are not sequential. So you get what you get... which I'm fine with.
I held off posting a photo and talking about it here, because seriously... the store wasn't technically selling them to customers the day I walked in. They had just received them... and were only fulfilling pre-orders. I don't think the SKU's were even in their computer for walk-in customers, so I just paid cash for mine. They mentioned something about bringing some to York, but I don't know how many... and I'm not sure which roadnames. When I visited the store, only the New Hope & Ivyland ore cars had arrived... which is one of the Henning's Trains exclusive custom-runs.
Sean's YouTube video was over 45 minutes long... which was a bit too long to hold my attention for two pieces of rolling stock. But I can confirm that the trucks and wheelsets on the ones I brought home are indeed MUCH improved. And at less than $30 per car, you can't go wrong in terms of price/performance... making it easy to build long unit trains without taxing the wallet.

Yes, that was a lengthy video, however I jumped around and got the gist of it which was the trucks and couplers were fine. I was all in after that.
