LOL. Not train related but we bought a new 2024 pickup truck. But, looking at some train items that have been tested. Cybertruck?

Got this beauty in today. MTH conventional 392E new in well shelf worn box. all packing still in place, no marks on rollers or wheels at all. Of coarse it's standard gauge.

Very nice 392E, rt...I often wonder how much of the MTH stuff was manufactured with their "traditional" motor as compared to Protosound. I suspect not too many. Might explain why this one saw little if any track time. My MTH 392E sits on a shelf in the my office/library/game-room: It's an early Protosound unit...hasn't been run in four or five years. I bought a BCR for it but never got around to swapping it out. Probably dead now. PS. I used Adam's instructions on how to add a photo blow-up to a post...worked like a champ. Thanks Adam.

Beautiful engines healey36 and rtraincollector! I am trying to resist catching the tinplate bug but that is proving difficult.

To my eye, it's the best-looking of Lionel's standard-gauge steamers. I think the Flyer "brass-piper" might be a bit nicer, though: No tellin' what I'd give for one of these.

If you can find a 400E that to me is the king, It dwarf's over the 392E ( I have both and love both. ) I got my 400E just before Christmas. Since then, I don't know why, but the price on it has jumped big time I paid like $550 total and now finding one is almost $1000 plus shipping and tax. Mine is a Lionel classic made by MTH. Like I've said I don't mind the MTH as long as they are conventional. I do not care for Proto of and type. Dpn't take me wrong, if you have it and like god for you, I'm happy for you, it's about running our trains how we like.
Not a great pic but here is a 400E I will try to get a better one tomorrow.

I could make paper out of the lint, dye it green and put Ben Franklin’s picture on it and buy trains. The drawback is that I would not be able to run them – there are no train rooms in federal institutions. Alfred
