This is one of the first Legacy engines I bought at York many moons ago. Cosmetically it's seen better days, but runs great. I replaced the smoke unit motor and resistor and put new batting in the reservoir.

I have this locomotive. I believe that it was originally only available in a set. I got mine from EBay. I wish Lionel would do a reissue under a new road number.

since this is a Canadian national post I am wondering if anyone out there has a Lionel Canadian national 228 also from 1960-61 who is willing to sell? condition must be very good with no major cracks or breakage to the shell.. thank you.
