A friend of mine brought over a Lionel Legacy Mikado from 2012 he bought at York but it will not go. The cab light blinks off/on, I can't seem to find any problem. I have reset it but it comes back blinking. How do I get rid of it blinking. Btw I'm using a cab1 to run it.. Dave

You may have a faulty motor. The back flap of the instruction manual will tell you what each blink means

Does it run in conventional.
1 blink is engine stall. Make sure track is at full power.

The shell needs to come off and all the wiring needs to be checked, then a motor or board would be next on what I would check.

I think a single blink is a bad motor.

When I took the shell off, the worm gear was totally destroyed. Looks like a major repair.
