Ahh, the age old favorites question. Always fun to ponder but difficult to answer, but I will try to do so anyway.
1) locomotive - This is the B&M Minuteman F-Unit (dummy) that I made over the summer/fall. I really like how it turned out and learned a lot about modeling during the process of working on it.
2) rolling stock - I love cabooses. The OGF caboose and the MTH B&M Minuteman (sense a theme?) woodside caboose are my favorites.
3) passenger cars - The MTH Railking Overton passenger cars are my favorite. They go behind my ten-wheeler. Such a fascinating era of steam and these cars are very well done and detailed.
4) accessory - Menards War of the Worlds. Army versus Aliens with a lot of pewpewpew. Whats not to like?!
5) other - The OGF is my favorite forum.

Thats a tough one. Hard to pick a PW loco. Theres the 1950 773 pulling 6 6511 pipe cars and 6 2855 black tankers. Then theres the 1951 2343 ABBA screen top pulling 12 2500 series passenger cars. The PW 682 with 12 metal tankers ei.2555/2755/6555 etc. The FM's 2321 maroon top/2331 blk/yellow Virginian. even have a 2341 NJC. Pulling various 6464 series boxcars and 6414 auto loaders and 6430 piggy-back Fruehauf trailers. Favorite boxcar gotta be 1954 6464-100 WP. Have all the 6464 series boxcars. Have all the Geeps. Log loader/coal loader. 282 crane. Misc light towers. Small layout. Horseshoe shape 24x24x30 by 6'wide. Powered by 2 ZW'rs and 2 KWs. Hard to pick a fav. Its all old PW but in Ex++/L/N Wife thinks I'm possessed! LOL Keeps me outta trouble.

My interest lies in Streamline steam and early named passenger trains to that is why I think that is the favorite part.
Far from complete as I am missing many popular engines (some have been made and some have not) but it does keep me interested. I have wondered if my interest would go down if I had actually obtained everything that I wanted and I think the answer is yes.
In any case, for engines that best show off the features I like are:
MTH: C&NW Hudson or E4 Lionel: Milwaukee Raod Atlantic and first run Dryfus. Lionel and Sunset: Santa Fe F3's and F7's Lionel GG1
Missing: All of the big Pennsylvania Stremline engines (T1 S1 and K4) MTH Santa Fe Blue Goose Weaver: Leheigh Valley John Wilks
I do have my eyes open for good deals (for me) on any of the engines on my missing list.

I agree - even where you don't have a lot more than a few in each category (at least compared to Traindiesel Brian).
Nevertheless, I will have a stab at this.
Loco: Legacy Daylight AC-12 cab forward (first edition).
Rolling stock: Big Boy "Survivors" caboose by K-Line.
Passenger car: Tie, both metal 21" scale cars as modified by me. Lionel Sam Houston StationSounds diner and GGD Daylight 3/4 length dome car.
Accessory: Another tie. Menards Oak Point nuclear power plant - again as modified by me - and every Lionel illuminated/animated signal that I have and that I've managed to get to work!
Other: Don't have any.

TGP, I bet you are the only OGF member with a high level of interest in Alaska RR. Last year I listened to an audio book about the history of railroads in Alaska. When I can find the title, I will pass it on. Alfred
