He cares for his fellow hobbyist so much he tacs on more money he even said one was sold and now its back for sale. I presently have three items for sale on OGR. One is 63% of the original price [$250 vs $400]. Another is exactly list price [$1900 vs $1900]. And the third, which you refer to, the Black Bonnet, is above list price. That is how the market works. Incidentally, the last Black Bonnet that Pat's Trains sold was $700, and they have appreciated substantally since then owing to their rareness. Finally, you make the wrong assumption that I only had two Blackbonnets. The one I sold is not "back for sale".

Pats Trains' "last one" is often not his true last one. It may be because he has vastly more product than space, and engines get buried. So he frequently has "Warehouse Finds". I bought a new MTH Premier GG1 from him long after he sold the "last one". Another example is the Black Bonnet F3s, which he started selling on 2/4/22, announced the "last one" available on 9/15/22, and announced a "Warehouse Find" ---possibly the true last one----today [11/1/22]. The initial "last" Black Bonnet ES44 may have sold for $600, but the real last one sold for $700. Email me at jmcfalls@villanova.edu if you would like to see a copy of Pat's ad showing the $700 "last one" price with the "sold out" notation.
