Good choice ZEKE! That will be a nice contrast with the building. Not as stark as the white.
Gary.

Had to slightly move most of the people accessories loacted on the sidewalks for 42nd Street to make way for a new project. Took a good part of the day as they were glued in place.

Very nice work everyone. Two thumbs up for all the great work. 👍 👍
Zeke, I don't mean to confuse you but I like the white windows better, especially if they are off white or weathered a bit, though I also like the gray windows. Whichever color you go with will look fabulous.

Had to slightly move most of the people accessories located on the sidewalks for 42nd Street to make way for a new project. Took a good part of the day as they were glued in place. Little trick. Find some brass rod or music wire. Drill vertically up a leg. Super Glue rod into leg. Drill small hole in benchwork, drop figure in place. rotate as needed. If you think the drilled hole is not exactly vertical, brass bends easier than music wire! Takes a steady hand in 0. Don't drill your finger! EDIT: Got waylaid, sent that off before I finished. You can rotate figures as necessary, even pull the figures and pins out for major layout work or to simply shuffle the folks around. Drill new holes in the benchwork if needed! Holes are small, you can have dozens of extra holes. If you're Styrofoam or rigid insulation, just push the pins in!

For figures and bikes/motorcycles that won't stand up, I use a thin piece of clear plastic (like used in windows). A very small piece glued to items will let them stand up and later moved around. I can't even see the plastic, but it works for me. Just an idea I use.

Yeah...I had figures with bases and even plastic strips. While we don't see them, try photographing a scene and look. Sorta like Kadee uncoupling arms...we get used to seeing them, but in photos they become obvious.
I even use the rods on the outdoor railroad. I just jam them into the dirt. And I never have to worry about wind (or somebody opening a door rapidly) and dumping the figures over!

I tried weathering a couple of the gray windows last night and was completely unsatisfied with the results. The weathering will probably show better on the white. That is my project for this evening. Gary - please don't be mad at me! I like the gray too, but not sure the final result will be what I want.

That color did not really look like grey to me. More of an olive drab. A dark grey would look great as there is a lot of white mortar on the brick walls. Even the right color of green or blue would look good as well. Gary.

Well I never thought I would post on this thread but here I go. For 20 years since we moved into our current house, my parents and I would pile up stuff and it collected dust. Due to the shutdown, I had enough of looking at the Pile of junk, so we cleaned the patio and re-organized it. A day later my mother was greeted by my dad and I bringing in a ping pong table. She was upset and my dad explained to her, well this is one way to prevent the junk from piling up again. This layout is temporary, eventually, we will have to put the table away and start prepping the patio to hold a more permanent layout.

Yesterday, I spent some time placing Evergreen Christmas Tree decals on the dozen pickup trucks I received this week. Now just waiting for the new loads for the beds.

Finished painting roundhouse rear walls and started adding concrete (painted wood) features.
Glad that is about done. 2-3 were fun, 23 were worse than boring. But they look really good.

I added more structolite to the curved embankment and added some lichen to the base of the mountain. Attachments:
