Pats Trains just announced a special run of MTH Railking Imperial Bigboys (which means 031 support in theory). They have them with oil (No. 4014 Restoration) and coal tenders (No 4005, 4014, 4018). Check them out on Pats Trains website. Following that, they announced auxiliary water tenders. I told myself no more significant train purchases this year, but this is making that hard to abide by.

Adam, be careful to order a Railking auxiliary tender. You've pictured a Premier tender which will appear large with the RailKing BB.

Pats Trains just announced a special run of MTH Railking Imperial Bigboys (which means 031 support in theory). .... Adam, these MTH announcements are somewhat confusing nowadays in terms of which products are special-run offerings exclusive to one dealer vs. regular production announcements. Of course, they're all uncatalog'd products now. And MTH calls most of them special announcements... but they're not all "special-run products" if you know what I mean. MTH has almost daily announcements these days, which I still find to be a royal PITA. Other folks aren't as bothered by them. So go figure.
In any event... not to take anything away from Pat's Trains... from what I can see, neither the Railking Big Boys nor the aux tenders are exclusive to Pat's Trains. I just received an email from Mr. Muffin's Trains highlighting these as well.
In addition, MTH also announced its long-awaited "restoration version" of Big Boy #4014 in its Premier Line (SKU #20-3087-1) is due to arrive at MTH by April 15th... and then on to dealers shortly after stateside inspections. Based on the MTH website, it appears quite a bunch of dealers have ordered this. But some like Mr. Muffin's Trains are already showing "sold out". I was pretty impressed with Jason's recent video of his MTH Big Boy. To be honest, I've never been one to run out and grab ANY of the Big Boy offerings from Lionel or MTH, but this one might be calling my name. So we shall see.

2022 will undoubtedly go down as the year of "special run mania". MTH just announced 2 additional special-run goodies exclusively available from Pat's Trains.... 2 road-numbers for each of these two double-sheath boxcar offerings. Click on the link for details.
I'm a big fan of the black bonnet offerings -- both freight and passenger. And the graphics on the Cherokee Brewery boxcar are quite the eye-catcher -- certainly enough to bring even the most die-hard enthusiasts who thought they cured themselves of "reefer madness" back into the market again. MTH is really producing some nice stuff this year!
