Forgot I got this from Clyde, for the club. I also purchased this and the rest of the Morton cars from Clyde. Am waiting on the caboose now. Then I will have a complete Morton Salt train.

Nice MOOSEHEAD LAGER. I drank that up in the Great White North while fishing on the Sat. Lawerence River for walleyes and perch.

Here's the other 3 engines that METCA is doing in conjunction with the Lionel 2022 Volume 1 catalog. You can find more details here: metca.org/store.htmlThe Norfolk Southern SD33ECO is very close to prototypically accurate since they're modified SD40-2 locos. The neat thing about the Christmas loco is going to be the unique CANDY APPLE paint job. Also, the Christmas and the Halloween loco's are going to contain an extra sound feature accessible thru the Legacy Aux-3 command. Stu

Stu, that Christmas locomotive sure caught my eye!!!
One word of caution however... please ensure that the boiler color -- which is illustrated as a dark gray -- actually is produced that way. Lionel's factory has had a bad habit in recent years of painting the boiler fronts on these steamers in an almost unfinished, primer gray appearance. And the result is a cheap-looking paint finish that would be more at-home on a plastic, O-27 starter-set locomotive as opposed to a scale model. Some days, I honestly don't think Lionel's factory knows the difference.
I would love to order one of these Christmas locomotives, but buyers need reassurance that the color will be CORRECT. Just sayin'....
Many thanks!!!
David

Funny how threads evolve with the simple change of a title. When I started this thread, my intent was for folks to highlight a few dealer/club uncatalog’d custom-runs based on Lionel’s new 2022 catalog — items that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Now with its newly broadened scope, the thread has the potential of becoming a monster thread updated daily with MTH “special announcements”… which by definition are ALL uncatalog’d offerings.
Oh well…. You’re gonna be a busy guy, Adam. Ce la vie!!!

From a few days ago, MTH black bonnet. Check out www.patstrains.com/ to preorder. I'd say that this new MTH is still giving Lionel a pretty good run for its money.

Here's the latest artwork from Lionel for the locomotive that got this thread started. Mr. Muffin's Trains still needs more pre-orders to give this custom Pennsy Class A a green light, so let him know that you want one. Let's help make this VisionLine jewel happen!!!
And here's the hi-res PDF...

And for the Strasburg RR fans in the crowd, who don't wanna spend $2K for Lionel's brass hybrid 2-10-0 #90, here's a MUCH more affordable option. Trainworld is offering this special-run Lionel Legacy Strasburg #90 as a 2-8-0. Excellent bang for your dollar...
I'm a big VisionLine fan, but not when there's something similar for 1/3 the price.
