Fab, I would love to take that tour. Going to New York City this weekend, for the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City. No time for a tour. There are so many Historical tours in the City.

Somehow I hope that part(s) of this could be incorporated into the reno. Or they could just level MSG and really do it justice with a total rebuild and bring back the PRR and....

Great find Fab. I wish they would they would put it back to what it used to look like in the sixties. In my opinion the old Penn station was even more beautiful then Grand Central station. Google “old Penn station New York” and you’ll see what I mean. There is a great documentary that was aired on PBS called “The Rise and Fall of Penn Station”. I think you can watch it for free on You Tube. It breaks my heart what happened to that place. images.app.goo.gl/kFh3FpXNzADS1rwv7Andy

I found these two videos of Penn Station. The PBS version would not play.
Given the space we will build Pennsylvania Station New York on our layout. This will be a very ambitious undertaking for sure. I spoke to Harry H. at York about this. He was very exited. Harry will be tasked to build and recreate the stunning interior of the Grand Old Dame. There are and were beautiful train stations all over the world. Grand Central Terminal is grand, but, Penn Station was the pinnacle.

Thanks for putting on those videos. I lived thu that era. When I was a teenager in the 40's I used to go down on the platforms and watch the GG1's come in & go out. That is cool. I am much younger then you eddieg, but I remember so much about New York from the 50's when I was a child. For me it is the loss of all the docks. We used to walk along the docks and see the unloading of ships from all over the world. It is a far different place for you then it was as a teen in the 40's. Congrats on you long life and memories.
