I learned this evening that my passenger car carrying capacity is three.
Luckily the fourth didn’t suffer catastrophic damage as it hit the floor, though it will require some small amount of repairing.
BTW, I don’t recommend this experiment.

Nice RT, but that’s not what I meant. I went to pick up four cars to put on the layout and one of them fell from my hands and hit the floor.
My wife is right, I see it now. I need to be more careful. LOL!

My limit is 1. I’m just too clumsy to take chances.

Adam, you learned the hard way that you can't carry 4 passenger cars. I carry 2 Railking passenger cars, 1 in each hand, when I take them on and off the layout. I never tried carrying more than 2.
I'm glad that the car that fell wasn't seriously damaged.

Never more than one in each hand, if I carry 3 my name would be on your post.

Passenger cars should be handled like the Crown Jewels! One at a time with cloth or preferably velvet gloves and handled with reverence.
Placed on the track gently, then take a step back, and as the heavenly light shines upon it, gaze at it with awe and wonder.
Proceed with the next car.

I have also run up to 14 K-Line 21" passenger cars, but it is unreasonable on our sized layout. Typically, 8 looks better.

Oh no! You meant by hand of course and not by engine. I am glad the fourth car is recoverable. I only run a short wheel-base engine on this layout which pulls only two 'short' passenger cars but fortunately I don't need to move them by hand. I store everything on the layout in a siding somewhere.

LOL! In that case 2 one in each hand as long as I have a safe place to put them down before putting on the track

11 Atlas 21 inch passenger cars is the longest and most nail biting experience I can handle...
