NS OCS F9s go to Auction and bidding ends on November 20th. Don’t know if this is true but I’ve seen lots of people reporting on it.

Nov 20th, 2019, the NS Norfolk Southern F-Units that ran the OCS Office Car Special are being put up for auction. Glad I got this photo of them in Rootstown Ohio back in May 2017. Attachments:

Been reading a lot about the N.S. F-Units this morning. Checking posts about them going up for auction. Looks like it's true. A crying shame. They should at least be donated and put on display somewhere instead of being turned into razor blades. The bottom line is driving everything everywhere. Also more rumors swirling again regarding an N.S. merger. Sad Days.
Gary.

I agree, they should be donated to a train museum. Sad to think what could happen to them if they go to auction.

Our little narrow gauge in Maui Hawaii is for sale. It's been up for sale for a couple of years now. Both steam engines have been rebuilt. There is a Plymouth switcher and all cars included. Tools and parts. It's selling for $150,000. Yes that's a bargain but you have to ship it and all track and turntable must be pull and taken also. It's a sad ending to a train that has been running for years. In it's time they ran two trains at once, one pulling over on a siding to let the other go. I was a huge money maker. We lived a couple blocks away and loved to hear the little whistle. Anyone got an few extra buck to buy a real railroad? Don
