Today I had to venture up in the Madison Ohio area, (not for real trains), but I had to cross the CSX & NS mainlines. Well when I crossed the tracks, I looked east and behold a headlight for a CSX westbound coming!!!. So I pulled off the road near the crossing and got out and walked up to the tracks to see this train this afternoon. And holy smokes, what a train it was!!!! Description below......
All I can say is WOW, this is one monster long CSX Intermodal only doing about 20-25MPH, which besides being under restricted speed for track work, this train could not get back up to track speed of 60MPH, even out of the restricted speed zone because of how long and heavy this train was!!!!. This was CSX westbound intermodal Q009 with 221 wells / platforms of containers & trailers lead by YN3b Tier 4 ET44AH #3469 with a nice loud sounding Nathan 5 chime K5HLR2 train horn + doppler effect, YN2 AC4400CW #411 & quarter way in mid DPU distributed power unit YN3 ES44AH #860.
