Between Denton and Coffee Creek, Montana a line of tank cars and a ghostly Great Northern passenger car. We were heading from Great Falls east to a destination somewhere in the Charlie Russell Wildlife Refuge. Small town diner, bull elk on a ridge line, dirt roads, abandoned rail cars, wranglers and cattle crossings, big skies and views into infinity...I could roam Montana for a living. iPhone photos so nothing spectacular, but you get the picture. Fascinating! Makes you wonder about the history of that passenger car. Very neat.

Love the shot of the passenger car. Did you explore it all? Don Didn’t do any exploring unfortunately. Needed to get to Bismarck ND for flights home so had to keep driving.

The photo quality on that first photo with the tank cars with crossbuck, looks quality of 1960's / 70's.
