Nice photo.
My guess is the well-built fella middle of the bottom row.

Nice photo. My guess is the well-built fella middle of the bottom row. My guess as well, except he's "the fat guy in the white pants" to me.

I didn't know there were so many railroad postcards. Each one is very interesting. 👍

I didn't know there were so many railroad postcards. Each one is very interesting. 👍 I'm glad these are of interest. There are 96,728 "railroad" postcards currently on eBay 8,000 are "real photo" of those, 2,000 are listed as copies. So, I have about 6,000 to choose from, ranging in price from $5. to $100.+ each. A copy is usually priced at $12. All of mine are original. So far, I have 21 "at/near station", and 23 "workers/crew posing with train". I'm happy to answer questions.

Joe do you have any showing Michigan RR stations? What do you put in to search eBay for them?

Joe do you have any showing Michigan RR stations? What do you put in to search eBay for them? While most of mine are Mid-West, the only MI one I have is Elsie. This is midway between Grand Rapids and Flint. It is postmarked 1910. On eBay, search under postcards "MI train depot", and about 155 will pop up. For real photo, "real photo MI train depot" will show about 17 (one of which I'm "watching").

Here is one I got today, dated Feb 2, 1908. March of 1907 was a banner date for US postcards in that prior to that, any message had to be written on the picture side, and the back was for name and address only. Although this card could have had the message on the back, the design of this card still showed the space for writing on the front (which, in this case, was used). This card is also a good example of how "last second bidding" on eBay can backfire on you. In the last hour, I placed my maximum bid of $46.99, which drove the price up to $18.99. With only 2 seconds to spare, someone bid $46.88...and lost to me by only 12 cents. There was no time left for him to up his bid. This has happened a few times with me. The moral is: bid the most you are willing to pay, not what you WISH you could get it for. This way, if you loose, it simply means that the other guy spent more that you thought it was worth.

I lived in St Johns MI at one time. It is about 20 minutes from Elsie. Pretty cool.

I like the ones with people...at the station, or the crew. This one is 1910.

Winfield, Kansas, around 1908-1912. Although there is a postmark, many did not include the year...just the month and date, and sometimes the time. This one, year-wise, is based on the design of the Ben Franklin stamp on it.
