So with the vaccines being readily available and the risk Covid declining. What railroad related places will you visit this year?
On my list, I will be visiting my friends at Cornfield Model Hobby but that is a given.
On my list as well is the East Broadtop in Pa.
The Western Maryland RR to visit the C & O 2-6-6-2
York in October
Maybe the Reading and Northern and a visit with Laz and a stop at Pottsville, Pa for a Yuengling tour.
A swap meet in DuPage Illinois is a must as well...
How about you?

Actually planning on driving down to the Atlanta (Indiana) Outdoor Train Show on Saturday, April 24th. Made a purchase online recently...knew I was going down there, so had them hold it for pickup instead of shipping it to me. Very good possibility that there will be additional items in my car for the return trip as well? 🤪 This will be my first visit to Mr. Muffin’s Trains...and looking forward to it. 🚂😉

We have so many family and friends we haven’t seen in a year that it’ll take us a year to catch up with house visits. So while I can’t plan a railroad themed vacation I certainly will put a day at York, Allentown and West Springfield shows on a calendar and circle them in red.

Great question andfun thread to get the hopes up.
In no particular order. But a few of these were on my list since we moved to New England 7 years ago. I am always fascinated with local history, so I want to see some local train sites. Covid made me realize that I do not want to waste any more time
Charles Ro (Ives been there only once since we moved here 7 years ago. )
Amherst Show (hopefully next Jan)
Seashore Trolley Museum in Maine (https://trolleymuseum.org/) - Past by this place a few times but never had time to stop in. Hoping to go this summer.
Mt. Washington Cog (https://www.thecog.com/)
Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum (https://www.berkshiretrains.org/) - Maybe in the fall when the colors are at their best.
NH Hobo Railroad (https://hoborr.com/)
Cornerfield Model Railroad Museum
And as many of the layouts belonging to the good people of OGF that I can see (at least of those who will let me in their front door).

Great question, JDaddy!! My list is a little more limited than some I see here. - First, I do plan to go back to Corner Field again.
- Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum in Sugarcreek, Ohio.
- Greenberg Show, Monroeville, Pennsylvania
- York meet
- New Tygart Flyer, Elkins, West Virginia
- Everett Railroad. Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania
- Altoona Train Show
Three states. That's actually not bad. That will take a while.

We have just started talking about it since Paula is looking at retirement from teaching Latin.

You live where there is stuff all around. Here, if you go anywhere east, you better have a boat or you will drown. And for trains, there is usually a northern component.

Bill, for real trains, if you can't go see them, I always recommend Virtual Railfan on YouTube. They have quite a lot of live Railcams around the U.S. - www.youtube.com/channel/UCOIkT9bq-1N2BvrsBjhNlag
