Sheesh!! I haven't gotten around to reading the first issue yet. I was waiting for a nice snowy day to relax and read it. But then I remembered..... it doesn't snow in San Diego!!!
I have some reading to do!!

I have some reading to do!! Jeez, with all of that good weather, when the heck do you find a cold or snowy day to run trains?? Indeed a tough way to live.

Brian, I would think with all the good weather all the time, you would be bored and be reading everything train related you can get your hands on.

Life is tough there... but someone has to do it.. Bill, it's extremely tough. But I'm prepared and honored to handle the burden.

We do get snow up in the mountains less than an hour east of us. The recent rainstorm here brought over a foot of snow in those mountain towns. But here in the area between the mountains and the beach, it was a chilly 62 degrees. I haven't run trains much, waiting for the snow, an old habit from living near Philly. I'll have to switch my thought process to reading Tractive Effort on my iPad on a warm winter day at the beach instead!
Brian, I would think with all the good weather all the time, you would be bored and be reading everything train related you can get your hands on. Mark, that's part of the problem, I'm never bored! And the great weather makes it more challenging to stay inside. But I do sometimes sit and read the forums at poolside in the sunshine! I think that's how I will enjoy Tractive Effort. It really is a great and unique publication that the creators have dedicated their time and effort to, I for one truly appreciate it!!

I have some reading to do!! When my dad lived in California he told me people would freak out if he went to the store when it was raining.

Great job, everyone. Great to see shop articles and I particularly liked the Butt Ugly Train piece. I know the feeling...those chunks of tin grow on you. FW

Tractive Effort ranks up there with the professionally produced magazines serving the O-Gauge community. Check it out if you have not already.
