You have to watch this emerging reality YouTube Father and Son restoration of an abandoned railroad they just purchased. They have not revealed the location of the railroad they bought. Can you guess the location? Come join the group and watch this railroad and their dream emerge from the past... I just stumbled on their posting and it looks to be a great post!

My guess is Minnesota. if you go to their channel, you can see that they are following another channel having to do with Minnesota. www.youtube.com/channel/UCZDPxlyQo-gRMKJJxDIM7BQShould be interesting to follow their progress as well as what their plans for the railroad end up being.

But if you listen to one clue, one of the shorts, was that Conrail ran on this line at one time... so my guess was Ohio area?
BTW they named their You tube post East Terminal railway, maybe a clue?

Yes, I just caught that. I actually think it is CT. If you watch the last video made yesterday when they go to the auction yard, there is a sign on the way in. I was able to make out the name on it as "RB Richie Brothers" and a search shows that being in CT.
This guy is smart and I so far am loving these videos and am learning lots. Thanks for discovering him and sharing it with us.

Adam, You think he is in Connecticut? That would be a bummer. I was hoping he was closer to me so I could do some volunteer work.

A bit off subject, but the house my parents rented in 1949 in Gladstone, NJ used to have railroad tracks along the border of their back yard. Same with my daughter's house in Medway, MA. That one you can see on a 1890s town map.

The latest video posted 2 days ago says that the rail line is about a mile long. They intend on making a business out of storing various things in their yard including cars/trains. I hope they are successful. I am really learning a lot from them.
