A Menard's 1/48 US Army jeep. It IS 1/48 scale, as verified against both Tamiya and Bandai kits, but I looked it over and there's just too much I would have to correct/repaint to make it realistic enough for my purposes. Asking $8. Buyer agrees to pay USPS Priority Mail shipping with appropriate insurance from zip 25309. Paypal F&F or personal check are gladly accepted. Please let me know if you have any questions through my Forum profile. Thanks. The Shadow

Great work! Where did you get the flat cars from?

I made them from Weaver (50') and AHM (40'). The loads are all kits I made.

Those are also incredibly well done kits. You have mad skills. BTW, that's a lot of captured equipment you're transporting. And is the KV-1 on loan?

The staff cars are kits made by ACE, a company out of Ukraine. They are the Soviet EMKA staff car kit. The EMKA was a Russian copy of the Ford V8 with improved suspension and upgraded HP engine for use in the USSR. Cosmetically the same. BE WARNED: The kits are VERY rough fit! There is a lot of filling and sanding to get the body to meet the frame well. Also, there is no "glass" provided, so roll your own... Tamiya DOES make a staff car kit, but they are hard to come by, and I'm not enough of an expert to know what make/model the Tamiya version represents.
As far as the enemy equipment, I like to think of them as either being transported to a proving ground (Aberdeen, Md comes to mind) for study, or as part of a "Why We Fight" tour to help raise war bonds sales. The KV2 definitely falls into the to be studied option (fortunately)...
