Here is probably the last project for this year. Building and trains has the same amount of history, I found fascinating all that involve a single simple building like this one. still under constructions, but the preliminary pictures looks great.Coal Chute by Majestic!

Looking good. What will the dimensions be? Walter, Are 9.00" wide x 4.00" deep and 8.50" tall. as you can see the face is shifted in 0.25" to create a nice character, otherwise was too boring a flat big facade. Andre.

Andre, I see a real need for row houses for many layouts. Good choice for your last project for this year.

Coal chutes under the windows?
Looks a bit like York.
Can you do six by reversing them? Actually any number of three?

In some parts of the English-speaking world these are called “terraced” houses and are in multiples of several times 3, 4 or even 6. Some are are “double fronted” with rooms on either side of the central entrance but I don’t think that was ever the norm in the US.

Great work with super interesting details.
In Hoboken, NJ, the buildings along the main drag, Washington Street, often had small 1’ manholes in the sidewalk. They were connected to the building basements with an inclined tube. When coal fell out of use, being replaced by fuel oil, the same coal chutes were used to route a pipe from the “manhole cover to a tank in the basement...

Now that's an idea for possible future projects, the backside of buildings alongside trackage. Showing the back porches to tracks. There were many tenements that did have their backside to tracks.
