Have you ever wanted something for your layouts that is not currently available? 4dogsinjersey is a classic example of multiple perfect projects where he has converted rolling stock and engines into road names he wants. Not available, so what, not impossible to get what you want. If you don't have Tom's skill sets and/or the correct equipment (like me), folks like Harry Hieke and others can accomplish a conversion for you. Here are some examples: 1. OGF 2020 Club Car where a MTH Premier Cylindrical Hopper was converted by Harry. 2. OGF 2021 Club Car where a MTH Premnier Extended Window Caboose was converted by Harry. 3. K-Line F59PHI engine & Bombardier Passenger Cars converted to the Rail Runner by Harry. 4. Brooklin 1947 Ford Woody where the paint was changed oin the body from gray tro yellow and the to from black to chocolate brown by my friend Charlie. These are just a few examples, there are many more. So, be bold customize.

"But these examples all say by Harry or Charlie. How come none say by Brian?"Just call me the "idea factory". Conversion talent to make these ideas real, none.

Very timely thread, I received photos today for one of Harry's clients who asked him to make significant additions to his set of F units including adding portholes.

Sometimes you come across a bargain you cannot turn down, then after buying it on the way home you think of why you bought it. Well this was in a box with other items, your choice 2.50. This 2.50 special is now part of my 4-4-0 Cheyenne & Northern Railway consist. Attachments:

Yes, those are some real nice boxcars, Walter.
The forthcoming OGF magazine has stories on customizing, including one by me, so I'll wait for that before adding anything.

Customizing can be as easy as adding interior elements. Just a little glue is the only tool you need.

The wood plank floors and the cargo facades work perfectly. Well done.
