"Congratulation Bill. Sorry to say no Southern Railway items on my layout." Please post photos of your favorite railroad if you do not have any Southerns. I will do some pics later but if it's east coast I probably like it, before all the joining of different rail road with the exception of Norfolk southern as it started out as southern. But I do have the following, PRR, B&O, C&O, Southern, Norfolk Southern, Virginian, NYC, B&M. I'm partial to B&M as my first set was set #2572 with the 2359 B&M GP9

I’ve decided to go with something unique to celebrate our Star of the Week. The Camden & Amboy Railroad was one of the earliest and one of the innovators. I was born in one of the Amboys (Perth Amboy) and lived in South Amboy (one of this RR’s termini) for some time. I’ve got fond memories from when I lived there. I think it would be fun to have an engine modeled after this prototype. But if it were true to the original, it would be very slow and unreliable. Do you think Lionel could pull that off?? LOL!

Bill, congratulations on being the Star of the Weekend.
I don't have any Southern RR on my layout but I love the New York Central.

Bill, I like your photos of your Southern Collection! For awhile I thought I might be the only one here that mostly collects models of the Southern Railroad.

Last summer I took a cab ride in Southern Steam Engine 630, 2-8-0 at Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum. 630 was restored for the NS 21st century steam program along with Southern 4501, and NW 611. This summer 630 is going through extensive repairs at TVRM and should operational again soon. I also have Lionel's model of Southern 630 in my collection.
