Our OGF Star of the Weekend is none other than Wood Foss. We chose Wood for this honor this week for several reasons. First, he had an unexpected hospital stay earlier this week and the good news, he is home and feeling much better. I called him on Monday to check up on our OGF fundraising activities and found him at Newport General. So, this is a BIG get-well card.
Next, without Wood, the OGF would not be what it is today. He has tirelessly lent his substantial financial talent and guided our income and expense as well as any CPA could do. He keeps a watchful eye on our future and has given the Executive Committee some great advice.
At certainly not the least, Wood is an exceptional modeler and shares his creative talents with all of us. What a terrific Ambassador for our hobby.
Favorite railroad; take your pick. He has many Sante Fe F3’s. Then there is Amtrak that he also loves. And let’s not forget the Canadian Pacific for our Canadian brothers and sisters.
Let’s all show our support for Wood and make this a terrific FFF this week.

Congratulations, Wood! You're a good man for the forum and we appreciate all you do. I also enjoy your posts and photos. Hope your recovery is a speedy one. Did Brian say Santa Fe? And Amtrak: You may recognize the Santa Fe observation car. 😉 The mosaic inlay photo is from inside the Santa Fe/Amtrak Station in San Diego. Sorry about the darkness of the puzzle picture of the Lionel F3s above the layout. I had to turn off all the lights so the picture glass wouldn't reflect them.

Got to love the Sante Fe. I like this photo of a Santa Fe San Diegan passing through the Miramar area just north of San Diego. Have been through here many times on Amtrak’s San Diegans and Surfliners.
