Besides having a spare William's shell just kicking around, the creation was an attempt at poking fun towards the serious prototypical aspects of the hobby. I haven't built my bridge from which to hang the diesel salesman ......Yet.
Thank you very much for your responses. They all mean a lot.

I spent a lot of time looking at the GG-1 in Strasburg at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in 2018. Considering I had never heard of or seen a GG-1 up until four years ago I was quite taken by it. Raymond Lowey created something curvy and very graceful looking. I don't know if the SF version above was factory made or a repaint, but I find it quite attractive in the War Bonnet scheme! Gary, I fell for the GG1 ages ago and am yet to see one for real. Bruce Gary.

Last October on the Saturday after York the Museum that houses the GG-1 allowed folks to climb up into the cab. My 10 yr old got a 20 minute lesson on all the controls. While a War Bonnet GG1 is still wrong, it was awesome to climb up into the cab and peer out and imagine.
I'm also very fond of the 3 Logging Loco's on the SW corner - Heisler, Shay & a Climax all in a row - what a sight. Same day we seen the 611 J running - wow what a great train day.

Apart from anything else, a good left hook at rivet counters (who inhabit other places).

The ugliest loco in my opinion is the S2 Turbines. With or without the elephant ears?

My vote has to go to the Alco C855. Alco's feeble attempt to compete with EMD's DD and GE's U50 series. Apart from being fugly, they failed miserably. Only 3 were built and they did not last long in service.

Only 3 were built and they did not last long in service. Looks like they tried to take some design queues from earlier Volvo cars. Boxy but, well, not so good.
