This arrived Thursday and I just opened it up today. It is a New York Central T3a made by 3rd Rail. The real engine was powered by third rail system and they worked in and around Grand Central Terminal in New York City.
This is a 3 rail version produced in 2013. I found a brand new one at Public Delivery Track in California. I hope to take some better pictures when I have it on my test track.
Tom, That is a very unique engine. Always like it but could never find a way to fit it into my layout.
One nice thing is I had forgotten about The Public Delivery company. It used to be called The Western Depot and I had bought a few things from them. They have some great products. I just went to the site and ordered a couple of TTX flatcars for one of my consists. Thanks for posting this.
