This morning on Fox & Friends, the owners of the Round the Clock Diner on Route 30 in York, PA were featured. They are familiar to most of us who regularly attend the York Meet as they draw a large TCA breakfast crowd. They opened for inside business on Morher's Day despite the Governor's order preventing this action. They are practicing all of the safe practices recommended and followed by the so-called "essential businesses" (like marijuana stores-can you believe this) and their business is vigorous. They said the the local City and County officials have been very helpful to them, many who are their customers. Thought it was interesting that an establishment that many of us who know this establishment very well made the national news this morning. In terms of train forums, you will probably only see this here. Heck, news about a famous model train enthusiasts hang-out, way to controversial in these times.

Thanks Adam for the clip, Most York Meet attendees are very familiar with the Round the Clock Diner, so it will be of interest to them. In the bigger picture, thank goodness we have courageous business people who are willing to stand up to ridiculous government overreach at this time. And we at the OGF can address this subject without a BIG DELETE BUTTON.

Good for them, Our civil rights have been violated and if it wasn't for citizens being armed I think the military might have been walking the streets. I wrote a long rant but decided not to post it.

I read where 1200 churches are reopening in California by May 31 and the number is growing. They plan to do their best to observe safe practices.
In my opinion, it is past time for America to say enough. Does this mean that everyone everywhere can reopen? Of course not... but 90+% can.
We are fortunate; our governor has been reasonable. It sure felt good to get a hair cut yesterday.
And old people and those with health problems need to be protected and to use common sense.

Thanks for sharing this information, Brian. The write-up I saw mentioned two locations: Round the Clock Diner on Rt30, the one we're most familiar with, and Round the Clock Diner EAST (which as the name implies is on the eastern side of York off Rt 462 east of I83). Glad to see these establishments telling Comrade Wolf where he can stick his policies.

Whatever you've decided not to rant about, I am sure that I would have agreed with it. 👍🏻👍🏻 And I also agree "good for them" - it brightens my day that a business that I have had the pleasure of visiting (although only once) has stood up to a mindless state government.

Brian, thanks for posting this. I didn't see the report on F&F this morning.
Adam, thanks for the link to the video.
Here in Florida things have been opening for a couple of weeks already. Governor DeSantis has done a great job.

We will make a point to go to the Round the Clock Diner at the next York Meet to say "thank you" and to enjoy a meal. Folks like this deserve out support.

I cannot believe how staying home and being safe has become a partisan biased issue. It seems some in our government are saying its important to stay home, don't work, and smoke pot, and we will tell you when its ok to go to work because you are too dumb to figure it out. REALLY? When Trump visited a Ford facility yesterday, all the press focused on was if He wore a mask? Are you kidding me? What about all the heroes that went to work everyday risking their lives to make ventilators and shields for the public. Not one word was said about that. I understand its important to self distance and public crowds should be avoided, if you are sick stay at home. … I understand there are health risk in dining out. Risk were there before Covid-19. but now we become so paranoid that nothing will be the same until a vaccine is available. I don't see any type of normal living until then.

Adam,
Living in Harrisburg, I can tell you that UNFORTUNATELY state stores (liquor) were NOT initially considered essential during the shutdown. So we Pennsylvanians bore the brunt of Covid AND had to be sober about it... I watched my booze supply dwindle and was starting to get pretty desperate. FINALLY (today) state stores were allowed to open in Yellow phase counties (York and Cumberland), and I was able to restock. The store I visited was doing a brisk business at noon, so you know there was some pent up demand being released there. MAYBE, now with a little EtOH on board, we can all take a deep breath and relax...
