Heading north this morning to “My Own Private Idaho” for the Memorial Day weekend. Have a nice one and stay safe, everyone. 👍 Have a great weekend, Vern. Thank you, Joe. We returned last night and it was a great Memorial Day weekend up in the old hometown. Yesterday morning as we were visiting our parents' and grandparents' graves, area firemen formed a bagpipes ensemble and played a few numbers including a finale of Amazing Grace, which was very nicely done, as a formation of 3 P-51 Mustangs from the local airport flew around the cemetery. I was unable to get a clear shot of the planes, due to the number of trees in the cemetery. But it was truly a memorable experience. I hope all of our forum members had a nice Memorial Day weekend.

Trees are required but we are not there yet. We have bought some. Part of our plan is to make extensive use of HO trees in some areas where we want to create the perception of distance blending into the backdrop, especially the mountain and coal mine area.
As with buildings and people, we have hundreds of Dept 56 trees and will probably not use them. Seems kinda dumb to me.

Well aside from BBQ. A bumblebee got in my basement and a serious looking hornet got in my bathroom. Both released unharmed and no one was stung.

They are a very good size for O.
