If you are like me, then you enjoy perusing the various online train stores (Trainworld and Charles Ro are favorites of mine). Unfortunate, actually ordering stuff and expecting it to be delivered is off the table for a few more weeks when the coast is clear (whenever that will be). So, I have determined that my Post Virus Celebratory Purchase will be a Legacy Two Truck Shay in Roaring Camp along with some cars, probably some logging disconnects and a caboose of some sort. Of course, this decision wont be final until I talk budget with the boss. Check it out here: www.trainworld.com/manufacturers/lionel-trains/lionel-1931540-roaring-camp-legacy-2-truck-shay-built-to-order/How about everyone else? What will be your Post Virus Celebration Purchase?

That's the spirit but I am ahead of you; I ordered a UP 44 Tonner after seeing this picture of it on the forum:
I particularly liked the headlight.

It would require money which I don't have any.

I hear you Denny. It will take a while after this ends before I can pull the trigger as well.

That looks like a good choice Adam. I hope you get it. I have a K-Line Mikado and I'd like to get some scale freight cars to go behind it. I have a set of passenger cars for it, but it would be nice to switch it up every now and then. We'll have to wait and see what the future holds.

Adam, that will be a nice way to celebrate the end of this virus. Just make sure the loco will run on your curves.
I don't have any plans to make a purchase when this is over but... plans change.

Looks like you are right, 042 required, not going to work for me with current layout, so back to the drawing board. It will take a few weeks/months after this is over before I am ready to buy. Just poking around on the vendor sites is a stress relief for me.

Adam, beautiful locomotive. We will put a good word in for you with the boss.
I am working on filling in my "car show" project. Made some additions over the past three weeks.

NICE. I've got no Milwaukee Road stuff at all apart from a two car 21" set labelled K-Line by Lionel. And that's in UP colors.

Anything I can order and sneak past the wife! When I purchased these two Railking auto carriers not too long ago I put them right on the layout. I was running trains and my wife came into the train room and noticed them right away. She's not a big fan of trains but her comment was that they were nice and she liked them. I should note that I have my own money for personal items like trains and the like so I don't use family money for trains.

I was saving my money for York … the bottom dropped out of the market... and we had to take a 20 percent pay cut... so that will kill the new train budget until October.

Hopefully the government will reimburse you the lost wages. As I understand it that's what the bill they just passed is supposed to do, help small businesses and employees who either lost their jobs or had to take a pay cut because of the virus.
