Here's a video my daughter sent me. Explains it fairly well. You'll have to excuse the few cusses. Gary I am not a doctor and I am not about to downplay this at all. I do suggest that anyone watching this please look at the current statistical information including hospitalization rates and death percentage. From what we have seen in the last day or so, the base percentages that these numbers were based on have been found to be significantly elevated from what actual experience indicates per a medical group in the UK. I am not sure but it may be the same group that developed the information. Look at the experience in the US and % of fatalities. That said, this is real and it is deadly, especially for those who are older with risk factors. Hopefully the situation is not as dire as it might be and that current actions will improve outcomes. Good luck everyone. Prayer works.

Hi Folks, Yea, these are strange times. We will look back on this a year from now, 10 years from now with lots of unbelievable stories to tell. 12% chance of death means nothing to the individual. You either are 100% dead or not. This is a scary Pandemic, where everyone is at risk. Some more than others, but no one is 100% sure. So what to do...? Reduce your risk. We have about 2-3 months to wait this out. Our businesses will suffer, some of us lose our jobs, careers, etc. But if we live, it's all worth it. Marcy and I are hunkered down at home in San Ramon CA. We only go out to shop once every 2 weeks, to feed our 2 babies (24 and 26 years old) who are home from college. She cooks everyday, which she always has done anyway. But this will pass as sure as the sun rises. Pandemics don't last forever. Just longer than you want, like when the in-laws came to stay too long a few years ago. Good Luck everyone. We are all in this together. To avoid the infection is simple. Stay home as much as possible. Wash your hands often, and don't touch your face. Gosh that's hard to do... When my kids were younger, I was traveling to Asia 6 times a year and never got sick until I came home and one of my son's would sneeze in my face when I was holding them. It's all about that. Good Luck, keep well. And next year is gonna ROCK!!!

Well. I guess, let me give another view. In this area the major stores are very orderly, customers focused, and stores are well stocked. We found peanut butter, ( creamy), like everybody else, no one wants Crunchy. Astoundingly, the Green neighborhood, Wal mrT, Are very good at keep pace, except meat, ( that is Publix blessing ), and Now have Taters. and One of my trucks will be in IDAHO,. next week. Guess what we will be hauling back to NC OR SC. I have an essential load of Plastic, headed to Kimberly Clark, that has to be there Sunday, ( Not MONDAY), due to probably production line. Our Wal marts are disasters, however , cant say that for COSTCO, once you wait for 25 folks, then its quiet as a mouse, at watching folks dedicated to getting whats needed. The internet is providing some great Church services, that the preachers DONT READ from Script, Fairly enjoyable. Yep, I am TRUCK LOAD, carrier, that has got some real good drivers. I have heard of the shippers and receivers, taking one of those Trash pick up tools to hand a BILL of LADING to one of them. If you have not been to Lowes, they now have Plexi glass separators between Cashiers and the credit card machines. This will remain as a tool of the business. We will see changes made in our health protection, that will be in place for a long time, I make check deposits in the night drop, but am placing all new folks on ACH Deposit. ( Paper Reduction). South Carolina is busy, as the ports are still a line of keeping some of the economy going. My small town , in Tennessee, I have heard is a Ghost city, with minimal activity. But the things I believe we will see, is thousands of good quality cooking of small restaurants being a thing of the past, I am sorry for many owners of these business, may not be able to greet us on the other side of this mess. The biggee for me is I have been chasing, FLEETWOOD MAC, tour, or one of their better tributes bands for years, and Now had tickets for next week, literally, 20 miles from the house. OOOOOOOO, I am so ticked !!!!!!!
Have never dreamed, I would learn of so many breeds of dogs. WHICH WOOFS FOR YOU !!!!! and although Tom Selleck now has a lot of grey, and quite heafty, now, He was a slendor 6' 4" plus skinny, lookin cool in the RED Fast Car, Plenty of Magnum P.I

The biggee for me is I have been chasing, FLEETWOOD MAC, tour, or one of their better tributes bands for years, and Now had tickets for next week, literally, 20 miles from the house. OOOOOOOO, I am so ticked !!!!!!! We have the Riverside Theater in Vero Beach. It's professional theater with accomplished actors, most of them having performed on Broadway. My wife and I are season ticket holders. This is not amateur theater. We look forward to the shows and, while we have liked some shows more than others, we haven't seen a stinker yet. We had tickets for La Cage aux Folles for this past weekend that was cancelled and the upcoming show, Bodyguard, is also cancelled. We had friends coming from Naples, FL, to see the Bodyguard but that won't be. Of course, this will end, and we are doing OK, but we can't wait for life to go back to normal. This past Sunday our church had a drive in service. It worked pretty well but the temps are moderate right now. It's comfortable sitting in the car with the windows open. Hang in there and stay safe. This will end, hopefully sooner rather than later.

The progress on finishing my basement is stalled. I Can't hire a drywall contractor during the lock down. My forum friend MichRR714 kept telling me I'd have trains running by York. Now we joke that that will still remain the case now that Spring York is cancelled and October York is the new deadline Haha!!

Listing to the video puts us about June or July if we plateau in controlling the number of cases in mid May. I know my work is still focused on building cars. They and many other companies really need to change their focus. I am volunteering for 12 hour shifts to build ventilators. Ford is leading the charge in this and I am happy to be a part... In the words of Desmond Doss "Please Lord let me save one more" this will be our battle cry in fighting this horrible disease. God bless and stay safe.

CV-19 may have another effect here in Canada!! Inside postal workers are complaining about conditions at Canada Post sorting facilities. They are constantly handling packages and mail from around the world! If there is a work stoppage because of this a huge amount of people, especially seniors will be affected in Canada. Outside postal Workers are looking for protection when delivering mail to households and Super Boxes as well.
Gary.

So far, everyone I know is in good health, (knock on wood). Have a nephew that works in a coal mine and he says that everyday everyone has their temperature taken and a nurse has to clear them before they go underground. Any signs, symptoms must be reported. As for myself, I have a few projects on hold because of lack of 91% alcohol to remove old paint. Seen some, but thought others might need it more for the Virus. I am really surprised also by the courtesy people are showing at long lines at the stores that are open. I even saw and heard an older couple say they couldn't find Tissue paper and toilet paper when at checkout. Someone overheard them and gave them their 1 limit of Toilet paper and 2 limit on Tissue paper. There's hope during crisis and people step up to help their neighbors. It was good to see.

I would say that I am fortunate for now, living in Nebraska. The stores are stocked, no lines, I have stocked up on items to paint the garage and to start building the mountain on the layout. My son and I accomplished some wiring tonight. My wife is out of work now, Lincoln has closed all hair salons as well as tattoos shops and etc. As for me my job is guaranteed. I work for the Lincoln Fire and Rescue. Just waiting for the hurricane to hit. At work we are trying to get prepared for what is coming. Looking at New York I'm not sure if you can do a lot. I m glad to not live in such a urban environment, do feel sorry for that city.
