Thanks Laz for this terrific weekly event. The SD 90 is my favorite of the SD models, big and impressive. Yiur video highlights the features very well.
Good job.

Laz, I love the SD series diesels. Your example s excellent. Love all of that detail!
Here is a video of my Williams SD70. It is a model of a Reading Railroad Bee Line Service Heritage unit. I recently rewired the motors from Parallel (factory configuration, runs much too fast around the track this way) to Serial (much better low speeds). You can see that it behaves well in this video. A video of the old wiring would show a train wizing by in a blur!!
(edit: updated the video with some horn and bell sounds.)
Here is a nice video talking about the history of the Reading Bee Line Service and its demise. The prototype of my train, and others, is highlighted a couple of times.

Nice engine, laz. Although I’m not a fan of the long SD locomotives (strictly a geep guy for O scale), this is a pretty Legacy diesel and nice addition to your 87 dozen other locos. Glad you were able to find one with your old college colors. And Adam, I like the diesel revving sounds on your Williams, but would liked to have heard the horn and bell.

Laz I really like the looks of that engine. I decided to search specs and compare it to my AC6000.
AC6000 19 1/2" min curve 042 SD90 21 1/4" min curve 031
Do you feel they have the correct info for the min curve radius?

RJ, Maybe they do have the correct info on this but IMO, I think that big o engine would look weird on that small curve. I have run SD70s on 0-42 with no problems.

IT'S WEDNESDAY...LAZZLE DAZZLE DAY!!! YIPPEEEEE!! THE LIONEL LEGACY INDIANA SD90MAC IS A BEAUTIFUL ENGINE. Their color scheme is simple compared to others but so well thought out. Very elegant. Lionel has used the perfect shade of red on these babies. We have both the #9003 and #9006. They are favourites of ours! Funny thing, there are not a lot of videos of the Indy and I know they have long been sold out. INDIANA WANTS ME...ENJOY!!!Gary.
