I was cleaning one of my prewar 165 magnet cranes and broke the fragile string that the hook is attached too. Has anyone changed the string on one of these. How difficult is it?

I see you got an answer on the OGF forum. Some good guys there that chime in when a modeler has a tech question. Not a lot of “tinplaters” here unfortunately.
Did the re-string procedure work out for you?
