I was thinking about how far behind I am on my list of real trains that I want to see in my life. I have been to some train museums and have seen some nice trains, but some of the ones I really want to see are still TBD. 1. UP 4014 Big Boy 2. SP 4449 (it lives in Oregon at orhf.org/)What is on your list?

We have only been to Strasburg so far. Planning to stop in Scranton when the Big Boy is back on display. The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village are a must see as well. Same with the B&O Museum. Oh yes, like Adam, SP X4449.
Gary.

That's a pretty good start Gary. Since I've only been to Strasburg I'll have to add every Train Museum to my list. See you in about 10 years!!!
Gary.

Milwaukee Road 261 is the next engine I like to take excursion behind.
N&W 611. I have seen this engine in the Spencer Shops being worked on but I have seen it in operation.

I’ve been eyeing that trip as well. It really looks like a beautiful train trip. I’d be interested in your experience if you to go.

Joe, you and your wife could take the CANADIAN from Toronto to Vancouver or vice versa. A friend of mine and his wife did this a couple of years ago and they thoroughly enjoyed their trip. Via also has great sales on this excursion. Something to ponder. www.viarail.caGary.

My bucket list of steam power I haven't seen yet includes:
Southern Pacific 4449
Union Pacific 844
Santa Fe 3751 (I really want to see this come down the Southern California coast)
Union Pacific Challenger 3985
Milwaukee Road 261
And there are several museums in Southern California that I need to visit.
I had the chance to chase the #4014 Big Boy from Victorville to Barstow, California back in October right before York. I haven't even looked at the video yet, the sun was so bright I could barely see into the viewfinder. I'm not sure how focused or centered the video is.
