The new ESE hudson in the pacemaker paint scheme from MTH is magnificent (to borrow a term from rocket mountain (Dave). It was posted about 5 hours ago on YouTube. It is red with silver trim. It looks great. Also Lionel may have had whistle steam first but MTH has perfected it.
Take a look at it you will be as impressed as I am. One of the best fantasy schemes out there!

As this is recommended by at least one Dave if not two, I decided to check out the video:
Yes it’s a striking scheme that will no doubt appeal to many. I could not help thinking that the further these steam engine fantasy schemes get from the prototypes the less appealing they are to me but to each his own. I still rate the Daylight cab forward the best of this entire genre to date but I am biased:

As us old people (well some of us) are technology challenged I appreciate others who can help my threads by posting a picture or video when I just can't do it!!
Thank you HB70!!!

Gotta give MTH credit. The color pallets they're using for these fantasy schemes are amazing. Someone is monitoring the projects VERY carefully. And the colors they're employing are absolutely fantastic. Whereas Lionel has missed the mark on so many big-ticket items -- (most notably, defaulting to that horrible chalky-looking primer grey on locomotive smoke boxes and hideous green boilers) -- unless a project manager really keeps an eye on the specs THROUGH THE ENTIRE PROCESS... artwork to production sample to delivered products. NOTHING can be left to chance, because we've seen too many botched projects.
This red/silver Pacemaker is quite the eye-catcher. Unfortunately, MTH probably didn't make too many (as a custom-run). And Trainworld isn't shy about pushing the pricing envelope once the pre-order deadline has passed. They quickly move from pre-order to pricing to MSRP to above-MSRP. So by the time there is just a small handful remaining, you're paying MUCH MORE than a similarly featured alternative model. For example, the $1,999 street-price of this Pacemaker loco is now far beyond Lionel's own Vision Line Hudsons that can be pre-ordered for less than $1,500 at larger dealers.

Someone is monitoring the projects VERY carefully I can tell you from firsthand knowledge this is true!….I work in MTH parts, and I’ve been there when production samples came in to be studied, and reviewed by Rich Foster & the gang,………They take notes, even listen to me, if I have any suggestions, and they all get together and decide on what’s right ……THIS is the crucial step being missed over at the orange box folks,…..There’s no way the recent blunders in decoration would happen if a production sample was reviewed before the run starts ……

Love the Legacy electronics, not a fan of the paint misses and mechanical screw ups.
