WTIU starts shipping next week, before then can we get a update on any issues with the Base3 Marty? Unit itself, the app. bug remedies? any issues to be addressed.
How are people liking it?

IMO the hardware, Base3 is solid. Using a Cab2 or Cab1L seems to parallel a Legacy Base of course with the ability to add LC engines and such. The App is definitely a work in progress but Dave has been going through the list and has squashed quite a few items on the list. It's definitely improving. I still use my Cab2 more than the app mostly because my iPhone is recording the videos. Here is the outstanding known items... Bugs still to be worked on (high-level only):**Using TR for transformers**Train Brake issues **Various Cab1 control type issues **R100 control type **Maintain Wi-Fi connection when phone screen times outThe TIU should interface with Base3 the same as the Legacy Base via the SER2 and the MTH cable. The WTIU will require an additional USB to serial adapter (at least that's what I was told at York but the WTIU lists a RS232 port). If a USB to serial cable is need, I'm not sure as of now if the MTH cable (50-1032) will still be required. If it does have a serial port it will be needed. I am trying to get clarification on the existence of a serial port. Attachments:

So it looks like there is NOT a serial connection so a USB to serial adapter is need either off the shelf or via MTH is needed. The adapter will then connect to the 50-1032 cable which will then connect to a SER2 with Base3 or Legacy. Now a small wild card that Bradley, I believe Mike's SIL is looking into, when you tether the remote, this cable will also need the USB port so he is seeing if a USB hub would work so both can be used. We'll have to wait on that. I couldn't attend but had some friends there that took some pictures and said it was a good presentations.

Cool it has a ethernet port. You won’t have to rely on Wi-Fi if you don’t want to for at least 1/2 of the set up anyways

An actual post of the event is up on Brady's site and MTH's site.

The Great news is prices for the CAB 2 and Legacy remote are coming way down! Thank you for your help Marty the CAB 3 will be a much needed addition once the bugs are worked out.
